Tynemouth Longsands Beach

U should have seen the state of King Eddies bay the last bank holiday weekend.

I was going to say something to the chavs I ws that disgusted but would have just got a mouthful of sh1te!

Just watched some of it on the local news. About ten tons of rubbish left over two days, about 100 disposable barbecues and almost as many disposable nappies  .

It is beyond me why people do this, Whatever they carried onto the beach, it obviously would have been lighter to carry back off and stick in the bin when they got home. It is the same through all walks of life now though and not just kids either.

Just a thought.
To promote anglers and angling why does this site not do a high profile,as in get the media involved, litter pick.
Get the council on board, some skips sorted, bound to be a company willing to donate them if they get some exposure.
Just an idea?

Yes i also seen it on the news, the area has just had an award for clean beaches etc and then the locals do that. I went down for some water for the crabs and it was full familys mind not just groups of teenages drinking..very shocking, i would almost just like to leave it there for the next time they wnat a day at the beach on a hot weekend, see how they like havign a meal on the beach with a 2 week old dirty nappy.

the problem with leaving it there for them to deal with when they come back would be it probably wont be there and in the sea instead. they should just respect the place, there are even bins on the beaches and very near on their way back of the beach!

Unfortunately the bins were full and overflowing too. The guy that owns Crusoe's, (excellent coffee and sarnies btw lol) phoned the council to let them know on Saturday night and was told that the bin wagon had broken down and he would see to it as soon as possible. He was good to his word and they were seen to, early Sunday morning.

People on here have blamed some of the mess on pier's on the local council's for not supplying bins, total load of crap and a poor excuse for themselves. There is a bin at the gate at the north end of Blyth beach and it has to be passed to get to your car. Some people would walk past it and leave their rubbish next to where their car was parked.

It would'nt matter how many bins there were, even if they had them next to people on the beach some people would still leave their crap where they had been sitting, thick as mince.

mess

mess

wait till the mackerel come in have a look at the state of s/shields pier cans daylight packets and dead mackerel lying even though there are bins every 100 yards - 50 anglers fishing for mackerel can make more mess than 1000 beach tourists -i fished s/shields yesterday somebody left 3 undersized coalies on the steps on the end

Metro should stop running during summer months, let the swines pea and shxte in their own garden. When I am out with dog and grandbairns during the summer leave before the toonies get down and use the beach as a cess pit. Haven't been down since Saturday morning, not endangering dog or gran kids life until it is all claened up, Ray Sabbiston will be doing his dinger.

forgot to put a post about this a while go it was a saterday morning and a was walkin the dog about six oclock in the moring and there were to anglers camping on cullercoats beach so thort a would have a woonder on the rocks walked round the side of the boat house to find to big piles of human crap with use tissue but what made it worse was the fact that the toilets had been open all night silly scum
