Tynemouth Pier 15/6/11

Alright lads this is my first post on NESA so play nice ha ha

Fished tynemouth pier on wed night low tide with my mate we both had a couple of good bites but missed them then about 11 o'clock bang i pulled this little monster in my biggest fish yet 7lb cod

A suppose it can be a bit dogdy when you can get kicked off the pier by poilce or Port of Tyne Authority, but nothing seems to matter when you catch your fish of a lifetime or Personal best (for now anyways)!!

the pier master knows fine well that people go on mate but as long as you behave he turns a blind eye.
i've fished it many a time when the pilot boat has come past the end and nowt ever happens either.
have you not climbed round the gate on shields pier andy lol

Thats what a thought mate, looks maybe between 3-1/2lb to around 5lb. Looks a canny fish and is a good catch for the time of year, hopefully there'll be some more hanging around... (the end of shields pier that is)!:red:

Do it all the time in the winter bud, but av never had the chance to get over and fish tynemouth pier, that gate on tynemouth is alot bigger than the one on shields too and looks a bit procarious to get over. I would still dam well try though if a ever got the chance to go fish over your side mate...

Dont know where you've heard that mate but its happy fishing for all on there at the minute...

A know theres a sign, but that is there for when the pier is closed. After that if you go around the pier you are no longer coverd by the Port Of Tyne in case anything happens...
