tynemouth pier need help

rang dave hayley up the other day and asked about joining botac and he said come and fish the match on sunday on the pier so a was wondering what the ground was like and what sort ov rigs to make

Most anglers fishing the club comps use a two hook basic rig, (one up one down). Lug/ rag tipped with makerel for the flatties and whitings, crab and mussel for the cod and coalies and you can't go wrong. Cast about 50-70 yds

ive just realised mate the next pier match isn't until the 14th mate

Depends opn your peg but I always used to use a 2 hook rig with lug and squid.
There have been some whoppers caught so dont scrimp on kook strength...ask Dave Haley..i believe he had one 26lb on a size 1 targetting whiting
