Tynemouth Pier

Never fished Tynemouth but wouldn't mind giving it a go as it always seems to throw a few big fish up around this time of year. What is the access like ?

You have to be a member of the Tynemouth club I think or be a good climber!

Thanks Mate, is the gate difficult to get round/over ? Worse than SSP ? If you join the club do you get a key like at Seaham. Apologies if these are daft questions.

As far as I'm aware if you're a member you only fish the pier on set matches
Climbing the gate doesn't seem too bad (although I've never done it) but it's definitely harder than on SSP

It's easy enough to go around, As you face the gate just shimmy to your right then around be careful though as its around 10ft high

as above correct i joined a while back can only fish on match days.
