posted on 7/12/2003 at 17:04Checked Seaham piers, chemicals and blast but un-fishable. Belted down A19 to give the pier a shot. A couple of hours at Arch 24 then onto the end, had shots every which way, long/short only place we didn't cast was staight up. Baits used rag lug squid mussel razor. Sea state perfect.

First time out EVER I've seriously thought about packing this ridiculous sport in. To top it off we couldn't break my mates rod down so had to drive home with a 14ft Carbon CB aerial sticking out the window.
