well after trying all winter for a cod to no avail i thought i would give it a go tonight with a good sea running me my dad and uncle got there for about 5.30 2nd chuck resulted in my first cod of the winter weighing 2lb 6 no sooner had i got that my uncle was in this 1 a cod of 3lb 6 then the lad fishing next to us was in a cod around the 5lb mark my uncles next cast resulted in a cod of 4lb 2 thought we were in for a great night but all went quiet after that i got 1 decent whiting about 1 1/2 lb at 1.30 we decided to call it a night all in all a really enjoyable night still got bait left over so hopefully be back out over the next couple of days. bait used was rag lug blacks mussel bluey and squid all fish were caught on rag lug and bluey cocktails

not sure if he was on the pier or not gary ,as there were no lights on the beach at 6 when we were at the club house.davy.
