Type of Fish

So.. second week of fishing at the weekend and caught my first one off South Shields Pier. Haven't a clue what it was though lol....

It had a phinn either side, 1 on top and below. The fish was white with orange bits running through it.

Any help what it was?

Yes, that was the problem I never took one. I should of though, knew it would of been easier. My mate thought it was a pollock but it never matched the description of one.
 
why not search what possible fish it may have been theres only so many species can be caught off the pier such as:

whiting
codling
pollock
coalfish
bass
wrasse

thats just a few. only thing i can think of for you to get an ID on your catch
