now thats one book i would read well done that man
An angler has broken the ultimate fishing record by becoming the first person in the world to catch 1,000 different species of fish.

Steve Wozniak, 47, has spent 10 years pursuing the astonishing quest that has seen him fish in 63 different countries.

He has spent 20,000 hours on riverbanks, piers, beaches and boats waiting for a nibble from fish ranging from a tiny minnow to a 900lb shark.

There used to be a tv series I think it was on BBC 1 called the` Fishing Race` or the great fishing race. it was on when I was a kid so thats about 30 yrs ago, brilliant viewing then god knows how it has dated, It was all about 4or6 blokes catching the most different varieties of fish & the heaviest of them, most of it was fresh water fishing , but interesting. Think Ill google it & see what happens ,( Is`nt google brilliant ) It was on bbc 2 in 1976 there were 12 episodes & were competing for a trophy called ``The Golden Maggot`` ca`nt find any footage, but Im sure theirs some out there somewhere, seem to remember one of them catching piranha in a zoo ???? It was 34 years ago so the alcohol has killed a few brain cells since then,I can remember bits , but not much I was 13 then, so If anyone can come up with a video/ dvd I would love to watch it again, Cheers lads
