very short session

well i headed out this afternoon got to my mark for 1300 and fished it upto 1600 just using rag first cast i had a small bite what resulted in a codling for just under the 1lb mark next cast resulted in another fish for about the same stamp i managed another 2 after that in consecutive casts that where safely returned then about half hour later i managed another one that was deeply hooked i had no other choice but to keep it packed up at 1600 cos me been so keen to get out and rushing about i left my waterproof jacket in the house :rolleyes: and it absalutley started p1ssing down il have a pick up as soon as i take it thats another to my tally:)

well done Daz-your notching some Cod up now mate. I,m down on Thursday and am wondering whats the Heugh like is it still like trying to climb the fence at Alcatraz.

yeah mate i went on last friday bloody fence is well mangled ive been tempted a few times to go oon myself but the sea has looked just a bit too big altho there has been lads going on might go back down the beech again tonight
 
Tried the Hough yesterday from around 13:00 to 16:00. Got a knock on almost every cast (using braid so felt everything) but only converted one whitey and a small flatty. Using the lower level the gate / fence is pretty easy to navigate provided you are not bulked out with extreme weather kit - large boxes have to be got through at the upper level. There were about a dozen rods in action at the pier end when I left at 16:00hrs. That is the first time I have been back to this venue since around 1964 - blanked that time if I remember well...
