Seems to be alot of music buffs on here, whats your preference in format,I personally still like my Vinyl (thats big cd\'s for Jonny) but dont like getting them out in case the kids get hold of them,so I tend to stick with my cd\'s,I\'ve got a canny selection of MP3\'s as well now and i must admit they sound great.

Do love me vinyl, but haven\'t had a record player...oops turntable for years now to play em on. Ought to get one whilst you still can I suppose.

Cd\'s took over a for a while, but have to say iPod\'s are just the best. Got a 60gig one last month, and nearly filled it. Got the wee podcast widget for it, so I can listen to it through the car stereo

Bit Torrent and Hotline are ultimate music stores ;)

and if any one needs an excuse to get an mp3 player, apple now do an ipod for £69 quid!

prefer cds easy to back up in case the kids get hold of em ,recently sold all my vinyl bar a few oldies ,sex pistols etc
also got a canny collection of cassets
last time i bought a cd was hmm the month before i got the PC
mark ive got a sony turntable for seperates never had the cover off the needle if you want it

I collect vinyl, but all the albums I get I transfer to cd using a Philips CDR-600 Digital audio cd recorder so my collection never leaves their sleeves again.
Too much money\'s worth in rarities etc to get damaged by playing them all the time.

Are you still into the same music scene Alan?

Talking of live music TC, I have over 2000 audio cassettes from all over the world of live concerts, all Rock-Metal-Punk etc.
Some are not that clever but the ones taken direct from the mixing desks are A1.

Metal rules

Auld habits die hard Darren, hard to change, got the kids into it as well, hope the Social Services dont find out.

Odd question, but has anyone (preferable my side of the tyne) got an old 8-track player? My dad found one of his old cartridges and we were wondering if it still plays - Pink Floyd\'s \"Wish You Were Here\" still boxed aswell :-)

I know what you mean Alan m8, you wanna see my 2 eldest moshing if I stick Slayer or Venom & especially Slipknot\'s wait and bleed on ;)
My 2 eldest are lassies and they go mental when the thrash starts lol

Even funnier when my son only 18month old starts head banging in his seat :o lol

mp3 are getting very popular and since the prices are coming down ,akes it well worth it since you can get 10 albums on 1 disk for £3
