Volante Catch Report 22 / 23rd Dec 06

Great to be back on the water after a lengthy lay off due to new engine being fitted.

Two of us were Uptiding on the hard ground south of the wear with mixed results.

Used all sorts of baits but the only worthwhile one was Black Lug / Peeler Crab cocktails.

22nd Dec - around 20 Codling to 6lbs plus a few Wrasse to 3lbs.

23rd Dec - around 10 Codling to 4lbs.

Average fish were lucky to reach the 2lb mark.....

Hers's hoping it picks up a little this week.

Yeah Mark, looks like it`s gonna blow a bit, at least it`s westerly so if it drops off early on monday then the sea`ll stay flat . ..... but the forcast is generally a bt in front of reality so I expect the big winds forcast for sunday will last right thru monday
