I could do with investing in some decent waders & would like some advice on the best ones to buy (type, material, price & where to buy).
Thanks
Brian

Greys Studded Neoprenes are quite popular...although I'm led to believe Sonik are now in the market (according to Sea Anglers blatant totty/rubber fest this month :o)

:)hi bri, as having fished the north east coast for about 38 yrs ive put many pairs of waders to the test, ive currently got a pair of "snowbee" neoprenes which are great until u start having to walk any distance as u seem to sweat like hell in them not really good on lets say tynemouth beach on a december night! until i got these i never went past the "ocean" range for both practibility and comfort as they just seemed better than the more tighter fitting neoprenes they are made from a more rubber based material still giving you that mobility without getting to hot. my advice would be take a look at the "ocean" greys & snowbee ranges, try frasers in gateshead but mention that u are a nesa member and u will recieve a 10% discount. u could also try Id fishing in byker as the both have a good stock. i would think u would pick up a pair for about £60-£80 but u may pay more for greys as its the name of course! hope this info is useful to you, go on treat yourself! cheers bud.

Never heard of them. If i get some more its going to be deffo Snowbee Granites.
I bought some cheap Diawa ones off flea bay and what a fanny on. I got size 10 which were to small so the £10 delivery charge actually doubled when i sent them back
When i got the 11,s after half a dozen trips to the reservoir fly fishing the water started to leak in.
I hoyed these and bought some second hand Snowbee originals off flea bay-looked great but leak around the crotch-due to the age and wear of the neoprene.
I then bought some new Greys breathable waders with boots for £130. Smashing but cold to wear and i,m frightened i get a stray hook in them.
Moral of the story is buy a decent pair of Neoprenes for the winter-new-and try them on.(studded Snowbee Granites from a local shop)
For the summer fly fishing or Bassing stick to light wieghts.

Mick.

I love my Greys neoprenes. Had them ages now and still keep me bone dry and warm. Agree you get a bit hot in the summer but they are great for the winter on beach or rocks.
I think they are a similar price to the Snowbee 1's.
