I fished the Walkway last night for four hours on the flood packing in just before high water at 3am. It was a calm evening with flat water and temperature was minus two according to the car which was three degress warmer than Hebburn when I had set off. Baits used lug, squid, mackeral, prawn and mussel. It was a mare with all the weed in the water but I still managed to pull out a couple of fish. An undersized codling and a whiting 38cm both caught on lug tipped with mussel. I also saw two of the best (biggest) shooting stars I have ever seen.
