Walkway 5/3

I had a free day today so decided I was going to try the walkway, after the bairns had a good session flatty bashing over weekend I thought I would be in with a decent chance so got some frozen baits out the freezer.

I fished 9am - 2pm and nowt I used frozen blacks, squid and macky, I never seen anything come out at all and people were coming and leaving every so often it was that bad. I still enjoyed myself got plenty of casting practice in with my new multi setup and getting some better distances now without any nests.

My target now has to be a spring run cod and learn to cast a multi in the dark lol.

good 2 get out, same as me ,av just bought a multi this year as was always worried about nestin. wish a had got 1 years ago. spent hours on the beach or football field cast after cast.

Not much about at the moment Pete. I was going to go to the Walkway yesterday morning but I went to the pier instead. When the weather turned nasty I packed up, might have had a bit more shelter at the Walkway. I was never going to be out that long as I wanted to get back for the match. First blank for a while, didn't even get the usual saving flatty.

Aye its good to get out anyway Mark you gotta be in it to win it lol, I won't say I was glad I didn't buy some fresh worm bait because its part of fishing, but I did save a few quid by not buying any. I seen others with worm baits still caught nowt kinda made me feel better lol.

I feel the same Davey I shoulda gone with a multi in first place (hindsight ey) but nest stories put me off, I do think the 15 months with a fixed spool reel has kinda helped me though, It got me fishing/hook,line and sinker.

Good luck with the multi's lads, it will be worth the effort after you have mastered them.

used to use nothing but fixed spool but just didnt feel right when i was casting so made the change to an abu 6500 ct rocket never looked i now have a sl30sh aswel best thing i done going to a mutli had some casting lessons off ARC off this site and now casting about 150 yards.
