went down hoping for flatties, or maybe a few coalies.... was very slow. I had one decent flattie and 2 mini ones, my dad had nout
second blank for him, unlucky.
tried a bit of experimenting 3 rods at one point too, gripper blasted as far as i could towards the sea but at an angle so would be in the channel, not a touch. small rod with small bomb lead close in the channel nothing, and my flattie rod with same bait same spot as small rod but with a knobbly flat lead and yellow and red beads above the hook, this had all the fish, i think it was a combination of it pulling round slower in the tide rip with the added movement of the beads giving it the edge. bait was rag tipped with makky on all rigs.
