Is Warkworth beach worth a few chucks this time of year? Cant find much about it apart from the pier area but wanted to try the beach. best tides, baits etc

Mainly small flounders this time of year but plenty of them. Best fished low water up on a medium tide. Rag tipped with macky on size 2 hook will get them.

certainly is, as well as flounder you might get a decent turbot, quite a few have been caught, no long casting needed either

Even better casting not great at moment more practice required.
