Me Carl and Sigsy had a mini sesh last night, started of at frenchies but there wasn't much happening so we headed for the river (the walkway) for a bit of flattie action, much to our suprise, when we got down there the lads who were fishing there reconed they were getting a codling a chuck!!!! nothing of great size upto about a pound. Swiftly changed one of my hooks on my 2 hook flapper from a 1/0 to a 4/0 baited up with rag and bluey and sure enough the bites started. Sigsy had a bit of a mere getting snagged up alot and we all lost gear but sigs definatley had the worst of it getting snagged up pulling in a decent fish that would have no doubt have been the best fish of the night and his first size codling this year (unlucky mate). Anyhoo i think we had about 10 - 12 fish between us all undersize codling apart from one nice Dab. Nice night all in all, might hit the beach next week and see if a can bag myself a Place.
