Saturday Night.
Back to the caravan, had something to eat and decided on a couple of pints. The clash was hosting the "Shark A Tag" Karaoke, we took our seats and one pint led to another. As you can see by the photos there's more of the night out than of the fishing.
And they're off

Got to say it was one of the best nights out I've had in a long time. 3am and off to bed. I was up at 8:30am to face........The big Breakfast. Not feeling to clever, but eat it all the same.

Sunday Morning.

It was a bit later when we hit the Mull and the flat rock was taken, so decided to fish to the left of it.I tried a few casts for macky but peering over the edge made me feel queezy, so curled up for a bit kip.I was woken by a kick and Steve shouting Dave look what I've caught, get the camera.
It was a Tope pup of about 5lbs.

We've had tope before but never been able to land them.So a first for Steve.

We managed to get on the flat rock after a couple of hours.I was still feeling a bit under the weather so tried for conger, had a small run then it spat the bait out. As the tide was falling and the conger not playing we fished for the ever obliging doggies. The mackeral were more numerous today and bigger.

Monday morning.
The weather had picked up, the sun was shining and the sea was flat calm that's what you call sods law.
A few pictures across the bay.

To sum the weekend up.
It was a laugh a minute. Steve came out with the best story, the cockerall called Mike that lived for two years with no head. It was fed by dropping corn down it's neck and fed water by a syringe. It became so famous and made so much money in the freak show it was touring with in America that it started a spate of cockerall beheadings, but non lived more than a few seconds.
It was raining, cold and windy.I was soaking, cold and had wet feet. The fishing wasn't the best, most of the fish were small. My thighs and calfs were aching due to yomping up and down the Mull. My feet were aching with standing on rock all weekend. The cows broke off my door mirror, licked all my windows and shat on the car bonnet. The fox nicked our mackeral.Saturday night was the best night out I've had in ages, and Sunday I had the hangover from HELL.
But would I change it, not likely we enjoyed every rain soaked minute of it, and we'll be back again next year.
Oh and I googled the chicken story, and it's true.

great report and pictures dont know why but the beer in the clash gets you very drunk :D:D

Thanks for that Quagmire. I checked a website when I got home but the didn't mention the smooth just the starry, so by looking at the picture I thought it was a tope.
