Weekend away plenty of great fishing

I've been camping this weekend with the family and there was no way I was leaving the rods at home. So away 6:45am on Friday for the 3 hour bus journey. Met up with the rest of the family and set the tents up , a bite to eat and timed it perfect to fish 2 hours down and 2 up. You can stay in the mark longer but I didn't put my waders on. Fishing into heavy kelp I kept things simple 3 hook swivel 60lb line to rotten bottom link and 40lb hook length. 1st cast around 40 yards and the bait had been out for 20 minutes decided to reboot only for the rod to give a good nod and I was into a lovely hard fighting wrasse weighing 2.5 lb.

Next cast was a blank so I had a move to the left of the skeer casting into deeper water 10 minutes later again I was into a bigger wrasse weighing 3lb 2oz which I don't have a pic of. After that is what I can only describe as the most manic fishing I've ever had in my entire life and all from very good fish.
Fish after fish after bite after bite. It was non stop. I re baited and before I had the rod in the rest it was being pulled out of my hands but I missed the fish, next chuck I managed to winkle out a codling 1lb 6oz which I new wasn't the fish that had ago earlier there was something bigger so again I put my bait in the same spot , rod bent right over and was coming out of the stand and I hit into an even bigger harder fighting fish and this is what took my bait earlier. A big fat wrasse weighing 4lb dead on.

Before I could get it photographed my rod was bending again and again it was another lovely fish a codling weighing 4lb1oz
This turned out to be the best codling of the day but certainly not the last. The fishing carried on as hectic as this for the next hour with more fish missed than hooked. I caught another 2 codling 1 34cm and another sized weighing 2lb 7oz. I then landed the biggest scorpion fish I've ever seen in me life didn't weigh it but it was huge.
Last cast saw me land a small coalie. It was now time to head back for some tea and a coffee before bedding down for the night.

The next day and I was back to the same spot on the same mark but it couldn't have been any worse. The wind and rain was ridiculous and I didn't have me coat although I did have me Chesties on. 1 massive lobster came out. Only managed 2 other bites in the 5hours and got a bit sick so had a shot with some home made luminous shrimp things and I caught 1 small pollock and 3 coalies which were all returned safe and well.
Here's the photos
