weekend weather

Be careful with fishing weather and tides website , it's a bit optimistic on the wind strengths to say the least , it seems pretty accurate for wind direction and weather in general but the windspeed is always lower on there than any where else ;) It's really handy for a quick look at to see where the tide will be at any given time ;)

I use the met office as i find it updates more than most sites and gives you the gusts, Magic guess work is a total joke in my opinion and XC is very good but it dont give you the gusts and some days it is gusting all day.

Its all guess work and hit and miss, i spend hours a week checking tide directions, high/low's and weather sites then making a call from them and past experiance, getting much better at it but still get it wrong.

This weekend i wont be out as boat beng serviced, so i have not checked the weather once.

:D (knew I was right)

This is as of today - but as has been said things change weekly, hourly and by the minute so 9 times out of 10 a trip is called as close to the weekend as possible

Statement made with the current info at hand, all statements with existing information are still correct until new information comes to light.

Example..the world is flat statement..now with more info we now know that is not correct but statement at the time was correct due to no other supporting evidence.

p.s that is from Magic sea wead not XC so has nothing to do with XC dont show gusts statement made in the first post unless supporting evidence shows otherwise. :)

Well it is now a race against time to get the boat ready as its looking a break in the weather and smooth to slight seas could be on the cards with a warm light wind :)

The old mounts have been removed

New mounts fitted and it was not a easy job due to being in for 10 years

Filters all changed, fan belt changed, new coolant and gear box oil, new shaft seal, buldge pump cleaned and put back.

Few tasks for now until launch day....air filter change, fit/ design a new flexible coupling, line up the mouts, gearbox and shaft...trial and test run.

like most weather sites they all are a bit hit and miss ,nothing beats a drive down the coast and a quick look .or stick your head out the car window ,and see if its breeeeeeeeezy

Hi Rich, if you type north shields into the detailed forecast bit at the top of the page, it gives you the gusts;)
