JASON Watkin had never caught a double-figure cod before, but he picked the right time to do it.

Fishing in the under-20ft section in the Fraser’s boat competition from Richy Roll’s boat Stingray, Watkin landed a cod of 10lb 2oz to take first place, fellow angler Graham Napier taking second with a ling of 7lb 12oz, and Richy Roll third with a fine pollock of 7lb 7oz.
