what can you reel up

now who on earth said that,

i forgot you were a big lad rob
not a weed like me

hahahaha

i cant put weight on for love nor money

Fish Cowbar tops regular, last winter I managed to get a 5lber all the way up (some 250-300ft) using a highlander and a slosh30. Thought I was having a heart attack by the time I\'d finnished.
Once managed to get a fish of eight pounds 3/4 way up onto whitby\'s west (about 20-30ft) till the hookhold gave and the fish landed on the bottom platform. Dont even bother trying now if the fish is a decent size I hand ball it or tie it off till i can get down to it.
Getting old ;) ;) :D

\"Tyne Challenge\"...........What a STUPID name for a comp ;)

LMCO - Could we ALL get bites as big as last night :D :D

Anyway its 9:30 - time i went to Merseyside ;)

tony codling
yes tony the alvey and scarbourgh reels are just like a winch thats why we use them and we also abuse the rods as well
how many times have i not bothered taking my pole and watched as the rod just kept bending lol lol

yes sean i knew this topic would get people going ;)
i fish mostly off the cliff tops from target rock to seaburn
the heights vary from zero to about a100 ft
and in all the years ive fished these venues ive never sean anyone wind up any more than 4 pound ive saw loads of people get the fish to
the bottom of the cliff and tried it and the reel ( multiplyer ) just cant
do it
i personaly think you would fck the reel
ive saw people myself included put the rod tip as close to the water and lift the fish out i think people might be getting confused with this
that is why i stated AT LEAST 30 FT high
the black path goes from zero to no more than 10 ft high
cheers tony :)

There is a couple of Alps between the german /italian border (if there is one) that if you catch a fish it will be seriously dead before you get it in cos you have 2 reel it in for several hundred miles and sometimes it gets snagged on a mountain or a block of Italian council flats

Someone just said its Monday 2morto so instead of getting my head in a good place 4 work I\'m just gonna f*** off to the big market for happy (24 hour) buy one get one free....and wont have to pay the fine \'til 2006.

Do people sometimes exaggerate the size of fish they lift!!?? :D I\'ve seen some very heavy 3lb fish!

Na, you just dont expect to catch a fish u cant reel in or you would have stronger gear. I used to love a single macky on a dinky 5lb spinning rod that would \"play you\" for a while before the ineviable. one Little macky on the right gear can entertain you more than a 10lb cod/ling that spewed its guts at the first sign of a hull.
