crab, worm, squid, mussel, fish, razor, clam,(prawn) take a lokk and see if i have missed much, remember only what is not there.i could put loads of shellfish like cockles etc but i havent.basically there are only 7 baits you require.and they are the hardest to come accross.
keep it quiet or the secret society will have us buying inported rubbish(bring it on big time.we want the stuff) and just for the odd government passerby it generates in the region of £100000 and thats just us lot with a rod and line.(crazy).lets see who adds the best bait that has not been mentioned.remember worm means worm and shelfish means shellfish you get the drift.

PIGS LIVER ;)

It was once suggested to me (by bigh) to give pigs liver a go as it can be a really good bait.
Sceptically, next time I was in ASDA, I bought a pack of the stuff.

When I got home, I sliced it into strips - got to admit, it did LOOK like it could work well.

Took 2 rods with me when I went out fishing:
Baited one with the \"regular\" type of baits....rag, lug, mussel, squid, mackeral..................not so much as a bite all night.

The other, baited with nothing but strips of pigs liver - whiting almost every cast !

Lines were cast to approx same distance and were fitted with identical pulley rigs.

I was flabbergasted at the result.......mind you, despite trying pigs liver several times since, the success of that 1st session with it hasn\'t been repeated.

there was a group of anglers who used to go out with Alan Tobias and they used nothing but pigs liver, had to be pigs though, and they had some cracking catches.

A mate of mine had his ear bitten off in a fight ,it was replaced/ grafted back on using REAL pigs skin , after a few weeks he was called back to the hospital ,the Audiotritian did a few tests which seemed favourable ,everything seemed to be going well .
At the final examination the doctor asked how it was going ,knowing that medically things where going well...................
My mate said \" yeah it\'s great \"

\" Apart from a little bit of crackling \"
