i my self use a shakespere powerplay multi rod combined with a abu sports mag for clean beaches and peir work ' about £140 for them both if you look around
i find they do the buiss for me . this set up can cast from the shore around 150 yds or so .
its a decent rod and reel set up for a beginer or experianced

That is a VERY impressive distance Gazza, I don't know many people that can cast a bait that far with specialised gear mind.

try before you buy???

Pop into one of the local tackle shops and i am sure they will be more than happy to let you take a rod out for a swish on the playing field before you buy one. I bought my last two like that and am very pleased with them. I bought one mail order and lo & behold it is horrible to use (wasn't cheap either!!). I would agree with the rest of the lads that a SLOSH 20 &30 would be my choice as they are cracking reels and cheap to boot!.

100/150 yards is nothing jim sounds more than it is
theres pendulum casters hit 200+

Not with a big bait on they don't Gazza, if you could name me one I would be very surprised mate. If you doubt me put a post on the casting forum and see what you get back.

hi gazzawill, been pendulem casting for years are you going to give me some lessons on how to put a bait out off the beach 150yds,what would you be doing with specialised gear 250yds with bait ???

what kind of baits are you lot using full lobsters of something .
when i posted the 150 yards i ment i could cast the rod and reel combo that far , the bait bit went to my head as i was reading a post before about bait

hi gazza no prob at all, like yourself and most on here its about trying to help everybody nothing else , i said to myself should i reply to this post or not just my mode i said i would , just enjoy your fishing dont take things too serious on here as i have done before as i say no prob, some people i know wont go on to forums they say they get bitchy only if we let it lifes to short,we can all help each other on these forums good chat and passes the time away.were would we be without them fishing catching nothing like me
