What line do people use

I've just started using Sakuma brite crystal 25lb line is only 0.43 in diameter, tried F1 too stretchy, diawa sensor good too. But I think i'll be using this Brite crystal from now, pulls out of snags canny, but you have to double check your knots because its a bit wirery.

used f1 in titanium and its a half decent line but a tad too expensive for my liking!
used daiwa sensor in the dark green/brown for nearly fifteen year and never had any bother with it!! i also use another "marmite" line thats never done any wrong for me is okuma ultramax in green or white very cheap online but very good at the same time cant fault it mate!

One of the lads I go fishing with uses the ultima f1 line ancd it is very poor line to say the least. i have a reel spooled up with 30lb red ice line and never had a problem with it in 5 years. i have a reel spooled with shakespeare sal****er beta yellow line 30lb for fishing ther tyne i find it very good but not very visible at night. I use ultima distance orange 25lb line on another reel it is visible but the line quality could be better. on my new alpha-x reel i use 20lb fladen warbird line which is about .43mm diameter and it seems to be the best of the lines i use atm I have never had any probs with it and its flouro yellow so quite visible at night.

i found the night crystal was allso poor for fishing, the okuma platinum 20 pound in killo spools is much better imho

I think that red ice is Ok mate its pretty strong line u used to use it aswell

best line for me by far was penn surf orange gear,[they stopped making it gutted i was]strongest and stayed strong all season and next unlike many others ive tried,dont know why they stopped making it

Just try a few out and see what you like, cause people will say this line is the bee's knees and someone else will say its useless ect, its all down to personal preference...

Andy Copeland told me today that they now will be supplying Diawa Ultima Line,love the F1 titanium,maybe a bit stretchy but its nice to use and still a strong line unlike some **** recently bought from somewhere in s/shields made in Korea where I'm assured all line is now made.get this Lovelry cast 50 yrds line parts,managed to get it back a while later by fluke and examined it and took photos ,conclusion rubbish line.If you d'ont have confidence in you're line you might aswell give up as you're never gonna land a fish of any size.(quoted from Mr Andy Copeland ). I agree.

Diawa tournament 18-25lb it's not the thinnest of lines but is very strong and abrasive.
I'd also recommend Diawa sensor again in the 18-25lb range
I have a mate who fishes with 24lb sufix tritanium so think I might have a try with the 19lb this season

I scoured the web for line reviews a few months ago when I was looking for lines. Sufix Tritanium seemed to get the best reviews IMHO (with Daiwa Sensor a close second). Sufix Tritanium is well know for abrasion resistance (search for 'sufix Tritanium reviews' or 'lines on test by Dave Barham' and you will see the results of the tests of major lines). I use the 24lb in neon gold and I can not fault it (except for the fact that sometimes I cannot break it when I am snagged !).

18 or 20lb sensor on the little reels

35lb on big reels. all with 80 shocker. Tritanium good too. trilene strong anarl

surprising how far you can hit thick line.

i now use a fathom 25N with 35lb sensor. casts well, sometimes get the **** taken out of me coz it looks like a boat reel, but boy is it easier to get the fish back out.

gone those days of whacking 18 sensor every time.
always have a selection of a penn 535 mag, 525mags and the big fathom.

Clean ground 19lb 0.35mm suffix tritanium

Mixed ground to rough/cliffs Dawia sensor from 20-40lb.

But have tried Berkeley sal****er XTS recently over mixed ground and really liking it.

Have tried F1 and found it too stretchy when pulling out of a snag but was strong, used 35lb straight through.

ok ppl got a line sorted all may think its expensive but after reading loads of reviews and a went for teklon gold .40 and has a 40lb BS all goin nicely on a new 525 mag 2

after nesting the mag a few times and snags teklon gold was just to expensive so am going to give sufix tritanium in either 19 or 24lb, this is going on a 525 mag 2 would this be ok for winter fishing
