Pleased to see the hooked cleric has been sentenced ,seven years doesn\'t seem much at all after looking at the evidence on the news.

Wonder if this thread has been picked up yet by Mark\'s pal across at Menworth, It will have now.

One experiment I did run before I was in there was post (not on here) a certain combination of numbers and phrases to see if the alarm bells went off

Can i suggest that everyone reads Tony Parsons column in Mondays Mirror. What he has said is true. It is not offensive but it is correct.
The last line of his column says ( as printed in the Mirror )
\" if they want to live in a muslim country, then why dont they go find one\" I wonder if they would be allowed to protest and preach hate then?

No marc, I dont find the poster offensive, In fact I find it quite funny.

Yes ,humerous indeed ,not offensive to me a Roman Catholic ..so if anyone should be offended it should be me lol.

this country should take a stand and adopt a new policy such as france has now undertaken. Also its good to hear that abu hamza when finished his 7 yr sentence will be extradited to america to face charges of treason

I am not Catholic in fact I would have to be classed as a non believer.

If I was to complain about that picture though it would have to be removed.

A mosque is reported to have written to erotic retailer Ann Summers asking them to rebrand an inflatable sex doll - because it is named after a Muslim prophet.

Manchester Central Mosque said the decision to name the blow-up aid \"Mustafa Shag\" had caused \"hurt and anguish\".

The new male doll is being sold as an \"inflatable escort for your hen-night adventures\", the Independent reported.

Unfortunately, Mustafa is a name given to the Prophet Mohammed.

\"You have no idea how much hurt, anguish and disgust this obnoxious phrase has caused to Muslim men, women and children,\" the letters reads.

\"We are asking you to please relent on compassionate grounds.\"

The call comes after a week in which the Muslim world has reacted with outrage to cartoons published in European newspapers satirising the Prophet Mohammed.

Ann Summers described the request as \"political correctness gone mad\".

Chief executive Jacqueline Gold said: \"We don\'t want to offend, but this feels like political correctness gone mad.

\"If anyone has a better name for a blow-up doll, please let us know.\"

Has anyone in this thread ever considered visiting a muslim country and promoting Christianity? I wouldn\'t cos I like my life and my limbs.

During a spell in the merchant navy I was arrested in a muslim country and locked up in a concrete box for 9 hours without water. It\'s amazing how fast a healthy man can deterioate in those conditions. My crime was, I lost my shore pass. When the skipper found out what happened he negotiated my release with 200 marlboro fags.

In the same country the ships bosun was arrested and jailed without trial. His crime was \"smuggling literature\", or swapping a few books with an american officer from another ship. It took two weeks to get him freed and he was close to death. He\'d been chained to a wall in a sewer. We all chipped in and hired a private doctor to get him fit enough to be repatriated cos he was too scared to go to a hospital.

The dry countries where always the worst (alcohol free because of religious reasons) and as soon as a western ship docked customs would board the ship and seal the \"bond locker\", where the drink was kept and issued warnings about the consequenses of alcohol. Then \"spare seals\" were always offered for sale to the highest bidders.

In the above examples I\'m not writing about thugs, drug dealers or gangsters. I\'m on about the police, customs, lawyers, judges and judicial systems.

My point is (without prejudice) that, before anyone takes a stance on muslim rights in good old Blighty, they should go and take a look at the real world. Islam may be a beautiful and peaceful religion but the people who worship it have never appeared peaceful and loving IMHO.

PS.I read the \"Da Vinci Code\" recently and understand how it upset Christianity all over the globe but cant remember seeing any riots or burnings etc.

.....and I dont like being called \"infidel\" just because I dont worship Islam

heretic
Someone who holds or adheres to an opinion or belief that contradicts established religious teaching, especially one that is officially condemned by religious authorities

It wasn\'t THAT long ago in this country that both heretics and non-believers in the Christian Faith were tortured and burned.
