we all thought swordfish where a rarity off our coastlines, well take a look at this web site and there is always more there than what is reported. And see what else has turned up

There was a good programme on BBC 2 tonight exploring the possibility of Great Whites off our waters. Don\'t doubt for a minute that they turn up now and again but they are just waiting for proper evidence.

been sightings of quite a few giant sun fish off cornwall this year, and just heard of one been sighted off the clyde

Great link Alan. I read about the puffer fish being rare with interest as I once saw one flapping around helplessly in Sunderland Docks years ago which had obviously been discarded by a fishing boat. It was puffed up and covered in spikes, so pretty hard to mistake it for anything else.

Obvioulsy reporting sihtings of various species of fish, mammals around our coast will give everyone a better insight into what is actually around our coast. I would imagine what is reported is only a small percentage of what is seen/found.
