Wheres it gone

It looks like it, Davy :(

I\'ve just done a search for it and it comes back as \"topic does not exist\".

Wasn\'t me :exclam:

Last time I was reading it, things seemed OK.....ofcourse there could\'ve been something \"naughty\" posted on it after I\'d last seen it and one of the mods may have deleted it.......if that\'s the case, then I\'ve got NO PROBLEMS with that, as I trust the judgement of the mods, implicitly.

I\'ve e-mailed Elton regarding the recent \"disappearence\" of a few topics
and one or two other matters aswell.......will keep you posted.

Well......I said I\'d \"keep you posted\"......

Ths is is the reply I got from Elton.......

\"The ads by Google pick up on the text of the thread, as they do
on
Anglers\' Net and all of my other sites.

I haven\'t even looked at NESA lately, let alone deleted
anything, as I
have to find a lot of money fast in order to save my business
and
haven\'t had time to do web stuff.

The missing threads *have* to have been removed by one of the
moderators. There is no other way that I can think of.

All the best,

Elton\"

There you go that explains everything, doen\'t it ????????

Well that\'s all 3 mods (and myself) who say they haven\'t deleted the topic........and as I said above, I trust the site mods implicitly.

Whenever one of them has felt the need to delete a post or a topic, they have ALWAYS informed me that they have done so......can\'t see any reason why that should\'ve changed over the topic in question this time.

The \"dissapearence\" of topics is not a new phenomenon on NESA. Over the years, there have been a few gone \"missing\" for no apparent reason. Seems to be happening a bit more frequently latley, though.

Wish I ccould get to the bottom of it, but.......it ain\'t my site......so it ain\'t my problem. If the owner isn\'t that interested, then why should I be?

Cheers Tony,
would have been nice if he could have logged in and posted on the subject

Another e-mail from Elton:

\"Now we need to find who the mysterious mod is!.......\"

\"........just shelled out to put NESA, AN and my other few sites on
their
*own* server, which means we won\'t be affected at busy times by
other
people\'s sites (before, the sites shared a server with
*hundreds* of
others).

This also means that I can start looking to develop them all
better soon
:-)

And my reply.......

\"That\'s good news, Elton.

However, I trust the 3 mods on NESA implicitly.......very rarely do any of them delete anything - and if they DO do so, they contact me telling me so and attaching the offending item.
All have said that they haven\'t deleted the most recent \"missing\" topic - and I believe them - I\'ve got NO reason not to.

The phenomenon of \"disappearing\" topics and posts isn\'t a new one on NESA - it\'s been going on for years.......long before there were ANY mods on the Board. There has been an increase in things goiing \"missing\" from the Board, though and some have linked the recent addition of the google ad banner with the increase.

I think my post was a little bit too sensitive.I will keep my posts to fishing related subjects only from now on.

Not at all, Rich........infact if you\'ve a mind to, I\'ve got no objections to you reposting the topic again.
