where's me mackerel again

but alan ya havent eat the 2 tonne off last year ya selling it or what

cud dee with some nice fillets of fresh or frozens

Didn't hit the pier last year...think I'll head down tonight for a couple of hours tho - should have the place to myself I reckon as no one would have suspected them being in this early ;)

If they have come in and its not just herring that show in March then it must be a new record as April from the piers is unheard of as far as i understnad.

Herring is a good possibility ;)

Sounds a bit dodgy to me:confused:

Or even fishy? :p

...still it'd have been funny to see the hoardes of charvas down there with their daylites in the middle of april...I guess we'll have to wait a couple more months yet

Might even start doing my own range of fishing gear aimed at the chav's. I could put pictures of lager on the daylights or a rod that doubles as a pipe......I'd be loaded in the summer pmsl:p

one chav last year asked me what depth i was fishing with my float, i said 13 foot, he said how deep is that, i said about 150 inches, is that deep he replied ,yes i said , he then walked away , he looked all of 20years old and had the mandatory can of black lable in his hand.

Your not far wrong there Sless...they dont call him the "mackerel man" on the pier for nothing :), 24th from the pier and 14th from the boat is mine.

Lots of small herring in the mariner today mind...and some salmon jumping...surface pot needed i think :)
