Agree about the Nite Crystal, brilliant line for field casting, crap line for fishing.

Love the Suffix but it is very stretchy when you have to pull for a break. Someone above mentioned the Okuma line, saw Gary had some in NETS today for a decent price - I used to use it over the shingle in the Solent area and it was a very good line for the price, landed plenty of Smoothhound up to 10lb no bother

deffo **** line for fishing (In my opinion) as you said but I also thought it came off the spool to much on a chuck. just my opinion like

Stuff I like:
Sufix Tritanium - always first choice in 15, 20 & 30lb (think they now call it 19,24 & 37lb) & red if I can find it! (very easy to see at night if you shine your lamp on it)
Berkley XTS - very strong & casts nicely - not too expensive either.
Daiwa Tournament - strong and casts nicely but daftly expensive in the shops.
Berkley Big Game - tough as old boots but just a little wiry.

Stuff that's really cheap & surprisingly good:
Fladen Vantage - got a big spool in 45lb that I use for leader-less fishing and it's actually very good! The 4oz spools are only about £3.50 (don't know what it's like in the lighter breaking strains).

Stuff that I really don't like:
Ultima F1 - so bad I wouldn't even use it for rotten-bottoms.
Daiwa Sensor - as supple as a Slinky and the couple of spools I tried snapped at the slightest excuse…might just of been unlucky but I won't use it again!

Gary :)

20lb sensor with 3/o manta with 12lb sensor rotten
25lb sensor with 4/o manta with 15lb sensor rotten
30lb or even better 35lb sensor with5/o manta with 15lb sensor rotten
