need a travel spinning rod for a trip to jersey in april
want 8 to 9 foot as i will be using it in the kayak aswell
what would you recomend
thanks jeff

i use shakespear odyssey 9'ft three piece, comes with cord carry tube, casts 20-40, should be ok, for kayak. I also have a ugly stik Sapphire, 9'ft 2pc casts 25-60g which i prefer, both spinning rods.but the ugly stik may be a bit long to stow. I have also a ABU devil 20-60g,2pc which i got for about £20.00p this,is also 9'ft. think any of these will do and all are pretty cheap.

I have a Shakespeare expedition 9' (2.7m) six piece, easily goes in my suitcase, had some good fish on it, both spinning and bait. But as already said you might pick up a rod (telescopic probably) cheaper, think i will be doing that next year when I go to Lanzarotte, instead of taking big rod, can get one for £10-£15, thing is I can leave it where we stay for the next time. Also have a Shimano EXAGE for mullet and other light fishing, again goes easily into my suitcase

You can get them out of Boyes for cheap prices i have a one. My mate caught a 4 lb cod on it using shads in the Fjords at Norway. Its a telescopic and takes hardly any room up.
