Areet everyone
After some opinions on which thermal wellies to go for. Looked at skeetex and sunridge hotfoots both about 45 quid. Are there any better alternatives for the same money ? Cheers

Yellow Dunlop wellies with steel toes. I swear by 'em(not thermal though). You can pick them up for £30 at Caley Fisheries in Shields. Alternatively the orange models have an insulated sole. I wore mine on deck for over a year to the point of destruction.
They are about double the price though.

I have used the Sundridge boots for a couple of years and they are great. Even on very cold nights they keep my feet warm and dry right through a long session. The inner-sock sometimes pulls out when removing them, but that is nothing compared to the comfort they bring.

Muck Boots! I'm onto my second pair now. Very warm and comfortable in cold weather but cool in warm weather too due to the wicking effect of the lining. Excellent. I wear mine all year around.

Agree with the Muck Boots. They are expensive but they are excellent. Mine are worn for fishing and walking my dogs day in and day out. They last really well. I prefer the TAY ones as the sole pattern is different on the different styles.

Muck Boots for me too.....best boots I've ever worn although you'll pay more than you are looking too.
I've also just bought some Grubs boots but I have not worn them much so I won't comment just yet. They do see to be very good though, they look just like Muck boots but they have a Vibram hiking boot type sole.

Regards Ian

I am told that someone who use to work for the Muck Boot Co left and started making their own design which are the Grub Boots.

If your after something cheaper that the Muck and Grub boots, the Derry boots also known as Nu Boots are very good as well for £40 - they have kept my feet warm on many a frozen night on the pier and beach. Simpley wear a medium thickness thermal sock with them, and the fur style lining does the bizz.
