Any info on which zzipplex is best for mainly clean beach fishing. There seems to be quite a range, and I need some advice on buying the right one. I already have a primo synchro which I've found a bit stiff for my liking and I'm looking to change. Cheers.

Depends if it is the new model or the older one. I've got the newer one, it's my favourite rod by a country mile lovely to cast and fish with but I wouldn't use it as first choice over mixed ground. The old ones on the other hand will handle mixed and lighter rough ground with ease. Both models though are real "wind-up" rods; if you thrash it or rush the cast it won't respond but slow progressive build up of power and the lead flies away.
Cod Magnet is absolutely right though, either new model or old you won't find a much nicer rod to learn to cast with then the Primo Synchro, they are incredibly forgiving but will put a lead a long long way (they have been cast over 300 yards on the field) in the right hands. Stick with what you've got and learn to use it rather than chucking money away on another rod that will more than likely give you the same problems.
