Buying new braid......
I'm about to purchase some new whiplash for my spinfisher should I go for
50lb 0.17mm or 65lb 0.21mm diameter
I don't really need 65lb strain but the diameter seems better

I use the 50lbs and have had no trouble with it. The only time I have lost any as when I was caught by a boat.
The difference in diameter between the two is minimal and makes very little difference. Buy what you can get cheapest.

The diameter is alot more than stated, still its pretty thin and strong stuff. if using it in heavy ground definatly the 65lb, still casts quite well so you can use it anywhere.

I got the new diawa J-braid x8 two weeks ago its on special promotion offer at frasers
£20 should be £29.99. 0.35mm 300m . 36.0kg

Glasgow angling had 53lb spiderwire on sale the other week David. Cracking stuff. I doubt the diameter will make a huge difference on the whiplash mate, they are both pretty thin. I'd personally go with the higher breaking strain

Check out whiplash camo 50lb, it's really good stuff and when I bought it from fishing Republic it was on sale for £15.99 for 300 yards. Had it on reel for over a year now.

I've ordered the green whiplash in 50lb
I don't need 65lb braid
Even fishing the rough stuff 50lb with 90lb leader is sufficient
300 yards from gary pye was only £27
