Whitey's

My thoughts as well mate - only seen the odd one up this way, although they've been getting plenty of good'uns south of the Tyne apparently. Going to give it a go tomorrow with a bit of mackerel strip as well as the usual baits.

Gary :)

Might try the pier mate as it's getting dark & fish the flood tide. Tried the Beacons this afternoon / evening & only managed a couple of undersize codlings, although my mate managed one size about a pound & a half.

Hoping that the settled conditions that are forecast might tempt them in as they come in handy in comps when the codlings are scarce!

Gary :)

You too mate - I've only been getting tiddlers off that beach for a while now - and sand-blasted for my efforts - so am giving it a rest till the next big seas :D

Gary :)

hi wayne, roker piers the place to be if you want whities at the moment some big ones as well, try near the end on the seaward side lug, rag, tipped with a strip of macky will do the damage for you, i use 2 hook set ups and often get double shots with darkness producing best bags. however you will still catch in daylight. hope this helps regards korky.
