Was a very hard day, not alot of action. Just hope for settled weather next time. Gary were u using silloth crab ;-) lol. Mick using blyth crab lol.

Does Mick like Sonik gear?! lol.

I've tried to give my advice on another thread that u want settled seas when fishing in the Kelp beds in the summer but got shot down as usual! lol.

There werelots of fish up there as well on thurs Gary when the conditions were right. Thats why I bottled it at the weekend when I seen the sea coming over Tynemouth pier! :o

Peter.

It was a bit dis-heartening knowing the sea would still be big & I'm sure it put quite a few people off - at least at Newton you can find a bit of shelter from the worst of it. Geoff King was telling me he'd had five on tuesday just a bit further up the Emblestones from where we fished on sunday, but it was almost flat. I'm sure there would have been some better bags if conditions had been better.

I didn't see the post you mentioned Peter, but flat seas are a must if you're fishing for the reddies in the summer - I don't know what it is but too much movement and they seem to scatter - it's a different story in the winter though!

Here's hoping for better things at Beadnell in a couple of weeks :)

Gary :)
