crap results there gary.£££ spent on bait,unless collected or dug.we are some tryers.{are we sane}but we love it.7 fished tonight in flat calm over high water and only 2 scraped a weigh-in:
1st - Paul Brown 1 flounder - River also HF
2nd - Chris Stringer 1 dab 7.5oz River.
Badly need the sea to come away!

lot of codling higher up at walker area trevor ferry was rumoured to have 17, our top bags from there...davy.

Yes Reg, crap indeed....fortunately no money wasted on bait as I got my own but two reels-worth of line knackered...1st cast caught a string of pots (never saw the dan till I started dragging it in) lost about 40 yards of line, later got "limpeted" when one settled on my line on a ledge just in front of me & managed to cut my line in half
Hacked off wasn't the word last night.....Yes, heard they'd been getting quite a few codlings up river Davy, but out of bounds for us...the few river-rats that went to the quay had very slim pickings & were surrounded by noisy knackers letting off fireworks & pulling wheelies round by Cosalts.
