As I've posted on another thread, there's a good chance this may be postponed. Tickets at shops are on hold till friday - we'll make a decision by friday morning & try to let everyone know. At the moment it's probably not looking good....:(

Gary :)

Forecast is ok for fri/sat!

Forecast as far as fishing goes looks good Gav - the concern at the moment is for people travelling to & from the event - however with the Sunderland Open being cancelled there's been some interest from down that way. I'm sure the hardcore anglers will be happy to travel, we just don't want to lose too many people who are stuck in their house.

Final decision will be made on friday morn, it'll only be postponed if things are looking really grim.

Gary :)

Well the decision has been made - it's ON :)

ps. it states in the Chronicle that Junior entry is £5 - it used to be previous years but I can confirm that junior entry is FREE.

Gary :)

Yes mate it's fishing from 6pm till 10pm - slight adjustment was made to better suit the tide, it's a 1.1m (low at 8.29pm - Tyne) fishing approx 2 &1/2 hrs down, 1 &1/2 hrs up.

Gary :)

It should be a cracker Gary! :D

Hope so Peter, forecast looks better from tomorrow, sat not too bad at all (apart from cold!) and magicseaweed's forecasting a 1.5ft s/easterly swell & light winds, so everywhere should be fishable - just hope the fish oblige & come out to play!

Gary :)

im trying to get a baby sitter gary, my lass has her xmas do on saturday.
going to talk her round to letting me dump the bairn at my parents, dont want to miss it like, should be some fish kicking about :D

trying my best to get a PIG!

been out hunting for the last few days, off out again in a few hrs ;D

Where you trying next mate? If you're going to fish high water back I reckon a few chucks into Latch Dyke before it empties out too much could be well worth a throw - start a couple hours after high water & bray one into the hole.

Gary :)

i was thinking of west bay, see if the one i let go last year is back lol
bibbles could be worth a shot, but i wanted a couple of hrs kip, so i will have to go down mid water fish it down and up.

i will have a good look and see if the sea has dropped any with this wind dying down, sometimes its quick to drop off, i know what its like offshore.

loads of places running through my mind lol
