Here are the dates for this summer's open matches - hopefully by next month the fish'll have made a move back inshore up the coast!

Sunday June 14 - 12.00 - 4.00pm: Meet Beadnell, Patterson's Garage
Sunday July 12 - 11.00 - 3.00pm: Meet Newton, Car Park
Sunday July 26 - 11.00 - 3.00pm: Meet Beadnell, Paterson's Garage
Sunday Aug 9 - 10.00 - 2.00pm: Meet Newton, Car Park
Sunday Aug 16 - 4.00 - 8.00pm: Meet Beadnell, Paterson's Garage
Wednesday Sep 2 - 7.00 - 10.30pm: Meet WBAS clubhouse
Thursday Sep 17 - 7.00 - 10.30pm: Meet WBAS clubhouse
Entry fee for all 7 matches is ￡10.00 (one-off payment)
Optional sweeps at each event - ￡5.00
Weigh-in within one hour from close of matches (Beadnell / Newton)
Half an hour for WBAS clubhouse matches


Entry fee for all 7 matches (or as many as you wish to fish) is £10.00 (one-off payment) Optional sweeps at each event - £5.00
The winner over all 7 matches wins £200.00

Please note that, due to popular demand, the weigh-in has been extended to one hour for the matches up the coast - this should make it a lot easier to get back in time without having to leg it!

It helps if you can collar a few mates to travel with you - spread the cost & all that. Most of the lads seem to travel in 2's or 3's (I usually go with 2 or 3 others), but unfortunately you're right, it can get expensive if you're on your own

I think this year we've got the likes of Steve Coverdale coming up from Darlington, so a few lads are putting in some miles!
