To be fair reading the first question and reading the replys there's people on here who post a lot which is not a bad thing and have votes for them for being the best on here. But I know for sure there's some cracking anglers that come on this site but never post but still come on to have a look. I don't think there's such a thing as a no 1 angler anyone can catch fish on the day. I'd love to know how you define a No 1 angler?????

Maybe true mate but I know of international anglers who iv fished next to in pegged matches and they've been out fished. Just to be a angler who fishes for his country means he could be no 1 yes it's an achievement yes but I know of anglers who are very good and consistent who iv seen and lernt a lot from but would never fish a match so arnt aswell known as a international. Maybe I'm talking rubbish but there's my thoughts.

There's many areas to be a good angler in ! Like fresh water ,game,sea fishing both boat and shore ..Fly fishing ,spinning . Rivers streams lakes ponds beaches piers ! People are experts at one but maybe not as good at another ! Everyone is good in there own way

just a question been on me mind for yrs ive been on here whos the bestest angler or shud we say fisherman on here isnt me i know that cos only catch whiting but alot of posters have too much too say and nothing to back up on catch reports just a lot of winding up in other topics who wud ya vote
It doesn't really matter who is the best or who is not so good as long as you enjoying sea fishing, it's the enjoyment we get from our spot that is most important not categorising anglers from this forum.

There's a lot of good fisherman out there regardless of age, rod ,reel. They say Knowledge is power, it does when the lads know when a place will fish or not. And sometimes they don't know and the end result is a blank. Perfect sea, wind spot on and still no fish on occasions. Still, I hear an inner voice when I'm out, "should I stay or should I go" and fish another mark. I have to agree with Stan, when you have commitments and you fish the days your allocated, are the Fish there? Me personally, 2 days a week and I dream of fishing the rest ha. However, can an angler fish on a selected day (club Match). And still pull them in. I think one of the lads hit the nail previously. We all have good days and our bad.

Captin Birdseye would be the best if he was on here but he's not I would say Trev green the only man to catch big cod off the cormorants every year.
