Who Dunnit??

have had it on good authority tonight that the fish concerned where taken away and not wasted and i believe there is a photograph to prove it.

oh well in that case give the bloke a pat on the back ,not

i did not say give him a pat on the back, yes he has done wrong and like i said maybe been thrown out of the club and embarrased them as well but it seems to be the answer to everything these days "name and shame". i like a lot of people have done a few bad things in the past and paid for them in the correct mannor.
hopefully he will learn from his mistakes

cheers
mark

Personally speaking i dont think the article should have been printed, its pretty vague to say the least and possibly does more harm by printing it.
Did the lad not understand the rules ? who knows and maybe we'll never find out, most clubs must have had a few mis-understandings ie fishing out of bounds or fish sizes so maybe this lad mis-understood the rules or maybe he was new to the club scene and there rules.
Name and shame lmco, read below. get your digital cameras and note books out and head down to one of the piers and thats just for the litter that is left by the "Top Anglers" Mackerel fishing for there Doggie matches, name and shame oh I could :D .

As for the amount of Mackerel being caught and taken home then maybe the local angling journalists should venture along one of the piers to chat to some of the people that is taking "bin liner" laden fish home for the cat

well nevermind im sure thats a mistake hes learnt, but the club or other fellow members should of guided him whats what ,but its dust under the rug now ,lets all get on with our fishing ,and never believe a word printed in papers etc,i take back my post on showing his face in paper ,we all do errors in our life and we learn by it

Very well said codseeker mate, we all say things on here in the heat of the moment. The problem is they are there for everyone else to see. I have done it myself too.

I havn't bought a newspaper for quite a few years now and that is the reason, you can't believe what is written in them.

I sometimes wonder if certain people write these stories deliberately just to cause trouble. A lot of people will have read that story and not have read this thread, it doesn't show us in a very good light.

Jim.

yes willy thats true mate ,but a paper you carnt take back what was printed after its gone out to thousands, but a forum you can rectify what was said and put right to give folk a peace of mind

Very true Codseeker
generally speaking I think the columnist/journalists only have limited space to read there stories.
I guess somebody from the club or even the lad in the dock looks at NESA and it appears they are saying nowt,so maybe we should draw a line under this until we know the facts :)
