Coming home tonight I heard the lass on radio Newcastle giving the weather forecast. It was getting better and better as she went through the week, then changing back on Friday in time for the weekend. It’s not funny; decent weather all week while I’m at work then windy weekends.

Scotty, Being invited onboard someones boat, I feel obliged to help in the cleaning I dont have to be asked. Then if as you say money is tight, the boat owners dont get there fuel for free.It is expensive and you have to pay your bit towards the cost.

well said its not like in the old days when fuel was 10 p a gallon and often free :D:D:D:D
sure half the lads on here who dont own a car think you get 300 mile for a fiver ,well lads the average gallon of juice is £7 in this day and age so for instance kirkcudbright and back is £50 door to door if 3 in a car thats £17 each which is good for a day away when you think a about it
and I am sure the boat lads can use a good £50 worth a day maybe a bit more
its not a cheap hobby any more and then the fishing stuff you buy ie weights ect ,and what really gets up my nose is when you lend people stuff i.e. weights and they dont give you them back :o:o:o:o
plus the boat lads want a peaceful not hearing "here man if you lend me this or that I SWEAR DOWN you will get it back"
think thats why certain lads leave there boat locked in the harbour ,not that st peters basin gets locked :D:D:D
