why be so secretive

thanks lowrider that is what im on about help people
dont tease them ;)
Tony nobody is saying that members on the board dont want to help others, as far as the teasing goes then i do think you there may be some on the board who may be guilty of that, but i think it is only teasing and a bit of harmless fun, nothing more.
think most of the posters in this thread who are in favour of the mark x have at some time helped others by chipping in other treads with there knowledge as have those who have been against, just because the likes of Sean and myself decide not to give the location of various fishing spots does not make us bad people.
I think this thread could go on forever and you will always get two sides to the discussion and once you have made your mind up then nothing anyone says is going to change oppinions.

I\'m getting bored with this X and Y carry on.

If you don\'t want to let people know where you caught your fish, fine, but why not just say \'Whitburn\' or \'Roker\' or in my case \'Roker pier\'. They\'re big areas that have a 12 hour tidal cycle, so the odds of the crowds hitting \'your\' spot at the right time of the tide, in the right conditions are minimal.

Its all a right load of bollocks. And before people pull me for the \'a mark south of the wear\' reports I\'ve posted, the reason I posted them like that was I wasn\'t supposed to be there. But I\'ll give you a big clue where it is though- theres a pic of it on this thread. As you can see its a big old pier, and I caught the fish from a 3 ft radius of sea floor (the length of my trace) off this pier. Now whats the odds of someone fishing the exact same spot of seabed?

Can I start a campaign? Ban Mark X Y and whatever else reports. Lets have some (general if need be) locations.

Rant over.

well said davy you beat me to it ban mark x to the power of 3 b*ll*xs and just say what area you were at if you dont want your favourite spot hijacked .

Well said Davy - give you 9 out of ten for that reply (give your mate Mick them ,he needs them more than you - only kidding mate ) :P

it is total bollox - worst part is when you hear that a \"Shot \" is fishing its nuts off and were at work :casstet: :casstet: :casstet: - it does your heed in ;)

I was going to keep out of this as it has all been said before and frankly is boring. However i have to agree with yours truly, why should i (or anyone else)who has learnt by trial and alot of error over the years learning new marks (and more importantly when they fish best)Share this information with any tom dick or harry when it has cost me alot of time, effort and money to finally reap the rewards?Only last week i was up at Arbroath with Gogs fishing a mark that will be featured in sea angler very soon but cannot be named because the last couple of marks named are now crowded every night, covered in litter and honestly dont fish anywhere like they used too.I would like to think that anyone who knows me personally would say i will always offer advice on marks and help if i can, likewise there are alot of decent anglers i can turn too for advice but this trust has to be built up and i dont think sharing it on a public forum is going to win anybody any friends.
Rant over!

I know better marks than you - I catch more fish than you - my baits better than yours.........

This is so boring it\'s unbelievable. For f*cks sake, most of us on here fish for pleasure - it\'s not a match all of the time. If you don\'t want to help anyone don\'t post reports - simple as!

What\'s the point of a report that says I\'ve had 5 cod today..the end? East coast, west coast, fishmongers? Means nothing, no help to anyone. :casstet:

yeah your right lads this is getting boring well end it now eh
sorry if ive offended anyone everybody has different ideas and
ways of thinking thats what makes it interesting so im signing off
with the news that i caught a cod off target tonight for
7 pound 9 ounces sent t.c a picture of it
your right again terry just the one fish ;)

I don\'t think you\'ve \"offended\" anybody, Tony.

The subject is a bit stale to those who have seen and commented on this topic before (several times)......however, you\'re pretty new to the site so haven\'t had the opportunity to air your views previously. Keeping that in mind, you had every right to broach the subject and, once again, it provoked quite a debate.

Haven\'t checked my e-mails yet, but I\'ll post your photo ASAP.

This is copied from a post I made in a topic in the Chat Forum.........

\"I\'m busy compiling a CD of Hi-Res coast photographs, but it\'s not just gonna be a collection of pretty pictures.......\"

Lol........looks like it IS, now :exclam:

Hahahahaha

If you want to share information on where the fish was caught, then do so, if you dont, then dont....

cant get any more simplier than that!

Tony.....

\".......sent t.c a picture of it...\"

At the risk of this soap opera turning into a pantomime.......OH NO YOU HAVEN\'T !.........lol - well at least I haven\'t recieved it, if you have sent it.

And before anybody suggests \"IT\'S BEHIND YOU!\".......Oh no it isn\'t - I\'ve looked....lol
