aye gogs, a long long time ago, why don\'t we get them now?????

oh, i forget, the trawlers scoop them up before they get to within 10 miles of the coast.

next year, if we get the weather i\'m going to try the old haddie marks off st.abbs, who knows??

Last year and this year was the first year i have known that i would put money, yes money on catching a haddock from the Tyne every time, no more than 3 miles off shore on a patch of mud we found. Everytime we have driffed over it we have had haddock upto 3lb and small codling, Only mark i know like this.

All haddocks, up to a couple of pound, could be found off St Marys as said on the mud. Only remember cos I caught a few in the boat as a lad, then the outboard failed and it was left to me to row back to Cullercoats, luckily with the flood tide. The old man ripped for fish all the way back. Git

Rich we used to get the haddock no more than 2 mile from dunbar harbour, triple shots most drops, trawlers put paid to them as soon as the limit was dropped, try the same grounds all the time hoping that they are there again but they have never been seen since, only place i have had haddock of the east coast of scotland in the last ten years is stonehaven.

Gordon,
Caught loads in the Kilbrannen Sound off Arran in the 70\'s. Rod and I looked to go there a few years ago but were advised they had also been scooped up
Sad eh

How Les :D

Since when\'s Maine been in Scotland?

can you explain please ell?? :D

if the fishing was like this in scotland why would i be considering a trip to norway myself????

oh yes, now i remember, tony got his bird pregnant and put the mockers on our kenya trip next year :casstet:

Looks good to me.

I assume America would be the cheaper option as well as the advantage of the language.

better fish in norway ,fished there a couple of times myself only bad thing is the price of the beer. Most norwegians speak better english than us so no problem with the lingo
