how/why do reports get removed i seen one thismorning about bass left a comment now i cannot find it any were? there was other remarks on it!!! i think if a thread is posted it should be left if there is a replier or a comment left with it

Yep ,me to - its the Mod`s choice - if they deem it a bad post they take it off - saying as this forum is about open minded discussion (aye right oh) ,i couldnt get my head round why it was deleted - if someone wants to brag about how many undersize Bass he has killed and put photos of them on his draining board ,well i for one feel i am at liberty to shoot him down for being a "fool" lets say (didnt want to insult him ,otherwise the PC Police will delete this post)

I thought the thread was going in the right direction ,saying as 90% of the replies were totally against him not putting them back - further enhancing less knowledgable folk that Bass need to be of a certain size ,Etc Etc

pointless having an opinion if its going to get deleted

The last thing we want to do is give the anti's anything to get there teeth into, and to use as ammunition against us.

The photo posted showed that, in the eyes of the anti's, fishermen will kill anything they catch regardless of size limits.

We can do without this.

I deleted the thread after speaking to one of the other moderators, maybe I was wrong. I just thought we wouldn't want photos of undersize fish posted on NESA. There were several replies telling Mick of his mistake and he replied to acknowledge this and apologised.

Do we need to go on and on about it?

I've also deleted a few other threads while Jim has been away, mainly because they contained links to adult stuff, I know 99% of NESA members are adults but kids do use the forum.

Tony ,How many antis have ever used this site to use against anyone of us ??

i have never seen evidence either online/papers/or television ,never heard any word of NESA being mentioned when they raise there daft heads from beneath the rocks they live under - i think this board is pretty "Self Policing" and as the thread that was removed (and i have had my PM from the MOD that removed it and fully understand his reasons) was not Racist or having any objections raised from other site users , and to be honest was generating a very good thread and a lot of people logging on to vent their opinion

It was the right decision in that regard...plus IMO the thread was on the verge of becoming a crucifixion.

People make mistakes - a rush of sh*t to the brain in what was probably his best ever fishing session

i think most of the so called antis are already on the site.why should they bother when the knives are already getting put in the backs on here;)

Until the next culprit - people are just trying to inform - he made a mistake, and learned from it - this may prevent someone else making the same mistake.

A full list of UK species and size limits can be found at:

Trying to inform is one thing but slagging the lad off is another. people from this site also slagged him of on other internet forums. Im not saying what he did was right but to chase him around the net is a bit much. Give the lad a break, does anyone on here really think he set out to mess up, how long is his crucification going to last.

right on brother. there is a little bit to much bitching to be true at times on here and its suppose to be a friendly site, who needs enemies.

Right lads ,I think he's got the message ,I can see both sides but it's time to stop the persecution ............. let's end it here and now ,everything that needs to be said has been .

As one of the people who addressed the issue when he posted on WSF, I think you'll find that I didn't slag him off. I pointed out that the fish were undersize. I did, however have a discussion with a few members who told me that I was wrong to point that out, and gave my reasons why I wasn't wrong to point it out.

To say he was chased round the internet is a gross exaggeration - he posted on the same board I visit!

I have NEVER slagged anyone off on here or any other message board. If I think they've done wrong, I will say so.
