hello you lot got a question for ya ...... maybe its a no brainer for you fishing dudes but why does the season come to an end for boat fishing ?

do the fish Hibernate-:D

is a state of inactivity and metabolic depression in animals, characterized by lower body temperature, slower breathing, and lower metabolic rate.

where do the fish hang out .... in winter ?:yltype:

Some of the summer fish like ling and mackerel will migrate to other areas for warmer water or to breed. There’s still fish such as cod, whiting, etc to be caught off the beaches.

The boat fishing doesnt really come to an end, uptiding and general bait fishing is always worth a shot when the weather permits. we tend to do well until around February - March when it goes quiet for some reason. I like the beach fishing as much as the boat fishing so the winter is usually a busy time, fishing nearly every weekend.......:):):)

boat fishing

ports such as whitby and hartlepool fish all year weather permitting.shy torque and sea otter have had some excellent winter catches,i am sure there are others

Aye Growler ... winters very frustrating ..... I never "shut down" as there's always the chance to get out but it does get a bit rare .....

wouldnt say october was out of season, just a bit weather bound but second half of november and december is usually too rough.

Fingers crossed you never know it may be a mild winter :) :)

Looks interesting, I've not slept on the boat yet. At that time of year we could have an all night session over darkness for three or four hours.
