Went down the Pilot on Monday night at high tide.......nowt
Then moved around to the twin steps for a couple of hours.....not even a snifter and lost 3 rigs. Plenty of rocks about even on the Twin steps...
Finally moved onto Parton about 9pm and thought I might get a Bass because the surf was lovely......Wrong ! no bites here also......
Conclusion:- Either 1. I'm a blackdog.
2. The fish don't know where Hartlepool is.

My only visitor was a border collie who lagged on my Macky that I was using for bait.....:D:D:D

Hartlepool is real quiet at the moment mate and will be untill the few macki come in and they are far and few between i normally fish hartlepool all year but now i tend to go to either redcar or south shields, sheild been easyer by train the flatties don't seem to have turned up much this year for some reason maybe globle warming (not sure) but my last 4 seshes at the pool have been blanks or the odd flatie!!

Thats why i took up fly fishing-this time of the year is murder at Hartlepool unless you go out on a boat or wait for the Mackeral to come in.
You will get the odd Bass off Parton but they are few and far between.

Mick.
