Winter months..

OK - with the colder months approaching do you prefer to cast the ligther weights 100/125gm or do you stick to the bigger lumps 150/175gm.

dont know andy this will be the first time iv'e cast throughout the winter fishing i prefer the 175.

noticed yesterday up the field with steve, line was dropping rapidly down due to high pressure i summise. we cast all last winter and i believe this is the time for casting big numbers if you catch the right conditions ,ie low pressure and 15-20 mph wind . as to wieghts, stepping up to 175gm and 200gm :red:

andy at westward today we were finding 175/ 150 going further then the smaller stuff

and ive been practicing with the 200g which i think has helped
