World Casting site

I used the jersey forum on a regular basis, yes it will be a great loss to the casting fraternity, a means of contact for so many caster from around the globe, but people cast before the forum was created and people will carry on casting now that the forum is on its way out, it aint the end of the world!!

Im certain somebody else will start something up, but I do think you have to distance yourself to a certain point!!! In the world of public forums you have to be prepared for critisism, in other words dont put your hand into the fire if you dont want to get burnt!!

Haggis Tosser,

I was asked two questions. I felt the answer was straight forward enough, however, my questions are not answered.

If they dont get answered thats fine and we can leave it at that.

thanks for taking the time to give me your answer barnacle, i'm sorry i can't answer your questions but if you ask enough people you might get the answer from someone?

Back in the early noughties, long before the Jersey World Casting site was around, NESA had a very popular tournament casting forum. However, following a site redevelopment, the casting forum got broken (don't fix it if it isn't broken) and it took a while to get back on line - ah well, these things happen. In the meantime, Neil McKelows site grabbed some of the regular posters and audience, However, difficulties occurred on that site and soon the Jersey site got going, and like the film "Field of Dreams" the people came.

Public forums are just that, public for all to see, however, sadly sometimes people do not "engage brain" before hitting the post button. Sometimes post are defamatory and sometimes truthful and then they "cut to the quick". But posts are frequently misunderstood and soon a public slanging match erupts and toys are thrown out of the pram.

If this is the end of Jersey World Casting then as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow morning, somebody else will pick up the "poison chalice".

I have two further comments on the issue :

"5H1T HAPPENS"

and

"5H1T STICKS"

The question speaks for itself, no need for an answer.
The site might well be a loss, but I am sure all will move on to another... NESA? Soin the long term there will be no loss, unless you want brainwashed with 'X' cast nonsense.
nesa, now theres a thought H/T. not going to comment on the X cast though.

William, you wouldn't eat them sox after I've worn them for a days casting.

Dylan - now that's an interesting thought, Which Dylan are thinking of:

"It's all over now" Bob Dylan
or
I know bugger all (Llaregyb) Dylan Thomas
or
psychedelic Dylan, the laid back, hippie rabbit from the Magic Roundabout.

Keith won't shut the site down, he needs it more than anyone else does.
