Have not had my say in this thread yet...and have not read it back, but to answer John's question is Messi the best ever - no
And that is not just based on last night's awful performance (although he inexplicably won the golden ball???)
C.Ronaldo has always been better in my opinion, he is the very definition of a complete footballer.

I'm a big footy fan and I think supporting a lower league team like I do (Hartlepool) makes you watch a lot more top league footy from all over the world. I've never seen anybody like Ronaldo in my 15-ish years of watching footy properly.

So is Ronaldo the best ever? - I dont know, because there are so many top players I have never seen play in years gone by

But is Messi the best ever? - No because Ronaldo is better than him
(please dont slate me with Balon D'or comments and so on...its just my opinion)
